Above you will find a pictoral journey of the Bürger/Berger family. We start in Bobenthal, Südwest Pfalz and then to Gœrsdorf in Alsace. During the Napoleanic Wars the family travel to Minfeld and then Freckenfeld before residing in Jockgrim, Rhinepfalz. Next was the long migration to Speier near Odessa on the Russian Steppes. From here to North Dakota, America and then to Saskatchewan, Canada. Most of the family stayed in Canada, my father came to England during WWII with the South Saskatchewan Regiment and never returned.
